Description:
Dedicated to Robert a paraplegic for decades. I am so impressed by his sense of humor though so many years without being able to walk. He lives about 10 miles away from me. He writes children's books. Though he has not published one yet, he almost got himself in Barnes and Nobles as Uncle Bobby. I know that for sure because I spotted his his logo image on Barnes and Nobles web site. He received his injury while riding a motor cycle without a helmet. He can no longer walk or use his legs at all. He has older daughter and lives by himself in a convalescent hospital.

Great! &mdash 04/19/08 - 01:40:56 AM
I love the down south bluesy feel to it., with a bit of Lou Reed and a dash of Mark Knopfler mixed in.
Thanks! [ Reply to This ]

this is really great like all the rest of your work, I love the vocals and the guitar work goes without saying. That's a nice story that goes with it, - a very kind sentiment.
I wish I only lived ten miles away from you, I have a feeling we'd get on.
Lovely work Bill, as always,

Having a &mdash 04/19/08 - 05:57:12 AM
paraplegic friend for many years up in Seattle I am all to familiar with their struggles. My friend worked a normal job, lived in an apartment, he was for all intents and purposes a wheeled human being.
But try as he might to remain independent there were times he had to ask for help. I could see how those times really hurt.
Cool song Tiler! [ Reply to This ]
As usual- &mdash 04/19/08 - 08:38:20 AM
your guitar playing is superb. But your voice is also really great and I'm surprised you haven't done vocals on more songs. The message is also great. Your diction was better on the second half than on the first half, so it was easier to get the message. Great post! [ Reply to This ]

i like the unique sound to your voice. when you hit low notes it always has an awsome stylistic quality to it. nice track. i like the talking feel to it sort of gives it an old bluesy quality. [ Reply to This ]
Thanks Futz &mdash 04/19/08 - 01:49:41 PM
I struggle with my voice because I know a lot of the younger crowd might like the high pitched voice but my voice is going west when maybe I wanted it to go east. :) Or it's heading south when I intended it to go north.
I know I feel like I have two different types of voices. In "Like An Angel" that is available on my site here, it is quite high pitched with out any lowness in vocal style. So I relish your compliment, it gives me more confidence to continue with the low vocal and not think I will be ostracized by not having that high pitched cool factor if you know what I mean.
I know I admire Jerry Reed's bluesy vocal style and loved to do novelty in a vein in his general direction but of course there is only one Jerry Reed!
He sure has a great resonance in the lower vocal country blues style for sure. [ Reply to This ]

REally enjoying your &mdash 04/20/08 - 05:56:36 PM
comments. Thanks so much for such warm and kind words.
Thanks for being so perceptive to Robert's book writing ! I know it hurts him not to make money at his craft of writing, but he sure has a great personality, especially for a guy that has to have a urine sack, and bed sores that take him to such hurt. He really struggles with those sores. Were he lives he can't even get to the door to have people visit him on Sundays because the dang door is shut.
Thanks again, really enjoy such kind words and plus your bio is outstanding to read and enjoyed your latest inspired talk-mp3! [ Reply to This ]

One of the best productions/recordings I've heard here..TOP SCORES 10z (but I don't vote)hope Your friend will get a book out, I once knew a girl in Jerusalem who dreamed of giving out Childrens books-she was a very talented artist- sadly I don't know if She ever did. Thanks again : ) [ Reply to This ]

Nothing wrong with your singing at all Bill - I'd like to hear a lot more of it especially against your more blusey guitar work. This is a good song to listen to if you are having a bad day becuase we really don't know how lucky we are. The organ works really well here I like it a lot!
