Keywords:
ambient (485)noise (52)dream (100)distortion (34)hypnotic (8)
Description:
This is intentionally very slowgoing & hypnotic as it's to serve as background music at an art exhibition... yet I enjoyed giving the song that quality for its own sake too. There are certain rewards to be had of music (and other art forms) that require patience of the listener...

Also, the mix may need a bit more tweaking. Still learning about all that stuff.

Hardware:
MacMini, Casio keyboard, Zoom 606 fx pedal

Software:

"Patience of the listener ..." &mdash 04/22/08 - 02:39:16 PM
Ain't it the truth. But I'm fairly sure that fans of ambient/experimental know that patience often pays off. Patience and slow transition is sort of the meat and potatoes of this form. Patience certainly pays off here. Excellent piece.

I had intended to comment earlier, but I fell into a deep hypnotic trance, and when I came to ... well, nevermind that.

ok... &mdash 04/23/08 - 01:33:54 AM
..i'm likin it and it's good as-is. very nice build-up. I like the little giggle-sounding thing at about the 6:00 min mark, a touch more of stuff like that would be cool. If you ever wanted to play around more, i'm thinkin some sparse and spacey radio communication in the background might be cool too. (duplicate tracks, split wide left and wide right, with some slapback delay, each with slightly different delay settings).

thanks :) &mdash 04/23/08 - 07:22:35 AM
Yeah I was actually thinking of adding more detaily things. I like the radio idea, might give it a try if I play with it some more. Thanks.
