Description
I've been re-mixing and mastering some of my older tunes. This was one that the vocals were a bit off pitch. I modified the bass and one of the keys.

I'm filtering these old songs back in my macjam mix. Thanks for taking the time and lending me your ear.

Lyrics
Dragging my feet all night
Gathering an appetite
I hunger for a paradise
I flee...

Need not encouragement
Just another Sentiment
I feed from life’s nourishment
I breath...

Take the time to ask yourself
Are you content what life has dealt
Take the time just open your eyes
And see...

Life just past but don’t you wait
Grasp it with both hands don’t delay
Grip it tight and fight don’t
Let it go...

Fear no what’s around the bend
Succeed you will victory at hand
Take the time to open wide
You’ll see...

Take the time you’ll understand...

Taking the time
Ah, that TexaxFeel signature sound! Complete with backwards guitar. Love it. This mix is well done. Precise placement and separation instrumental and human voices in space. Everything is well tuned. Nice play of lyrics. Is that contrapuntal descant voice done with a voice changer with added delay effect? A real woman's voice would be my only suggestion for improvement.

Okay, ya had me from the backwards guitar...
And the vocoderish-vs-ultra-human vocals are like nothing else I know.... Nice vocal swells that also mesh nicely with the lead guitar swells...

This some kind of vocal and guitar headphone candy....

The sound on this is amazing
The guitar sounds cool at the beginning, and the vocal is wonderful. I love the effected vocal in the background. Those drums are just perfect - what a great snare sound. Love the lyrics and the vocal performance. Your voice is excellent - makes me think somehow of John Martyn. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Niiice!
John,
Your production qualities seem to be getting so much better - this is very cool. Great vocals! It's not that long ago that you were so reticent about singing. Top post!!
Excellent production!

Discovering…
… quite late this beautifully crafted song, due to Tobin's selection for MJ08 Album Challenge. Excellent interwaving of guitars, great vocals, a real Texasfeel gem… An excellent oppotunity to wish you a great Happy 09 Year (hoping it's not going to be the catastrophia everybody predicts…)
