Musica's Box

Description
I've had this chord progression lying around for ages now, never really knowing what to do with it.
But as I was studying all day (well, I've been studying all year - which explains my lack of participation around here, upload- and comment-wise) I read the story of Pandora's box it came to me: A music box.

So simple and short, but I think it's a nice little melody.

Anyway - back to my studies.

*UPDATE* I'd also like to point out that Mystified has sung to this: Beautiful Wall.

Russian Walz?
Sounds like that beginnings of a larger work perhaps. Nice melody - I can hear a full orchestra coming in at some point.

Einarus - you're incredible! I was so psyched to see a song posted by you I almost tripped over myself hitting "play"! This is really cool, I hope you keep developing this, someday, when you get time again!

Music boxes in the air...
Funny, I just posted a "music box story" piece too! Cool!

The melody and chord progressions are indeed beautiful and generally work well as a music box piece. However some of the chords get sort of lost due to the high pitch of the notes here... you might try arpeggiating some chords or reduce the number of simultaneously hit notes, to make it clearer. Or, as LunaTrick suggests, make this the intro to a fuller orchestrated version... uh, after you study some more :-) Good to see something new from you, and as usual, you don't disappoint!

There's a reason...
...music boxes are made with certain melodies and not others...

This is a perfect music box offering... a beautiful, lilting melody set in waltz time, simple, able to come alive in a minute and a half...

I'm with cjhoose... Let me know when the Einarus line of music boxes are available...
