This Life (instrumental) by Mckenzie

Description:
Ok, i'm currently working on the lyrics and vocal line to this song, but it had taken me soooooooo long to master the instrumental and arrange the different parts that i'm dying to see what other people think. Unlike the rest of my submissions (with Joe), this is one of my own. I understand it may be a bit plain without the vox, but still...i hope you enjoy it!

...just to hear the soundbed of others tunes, before the vocal additions. I think you did an exceptional job.

..MUCH. I really appreciate the comments, the whole point in me joining this site was so i could maybe gain a little confidence with my music (although i'm still fairly new to the whole recording side of things!), and to receive such encouraging comments really puts a smile on my face! I understand that this sounds a bit like a generic pop/rock song, but i really enjoyed playing and recording it so i had to post it!
..
Thanks again:)
Ps hope to get the vocal arrangement with it soon!

Hi - been taking a quick listen to your other stuff too - you have the advantage of actually being able to play and sing :-)
I think you've got a great sense of melody - one of the things I'd be focusing on if I were you (and this is advice which I myself tend to ignore) is to try and be ruthless with editing and get these down to the magic 3 mins or so.
You've writing mainstream pop - so you have to go with the conventions.
Easier to cut than to invent 'though - so it shouldn't be that difficult.

my way backwards through your catalogue. The more I hear, the more I am blown away. You ooze talent.

Somehow the intro of this makes me think of some short movie about riding a bicycle down a dusty path.
You need to do a duet with a girl on this... imagining that now... Something about following each other... hope you dont mind me throwing my thoughts out like this.... lol
