Lyrics
(verse)
People change, never ever stay the same
and the future is so hard to see
Time goes on, it waits for no man
cause it's up to you to see what's going to be

(1st bridge)
I never realised what I had done,
Now it feels just so wrong
Finally know what I have to do
But in my mind I still cannot believe

(chorus)
Cause I never knew that change could happen so strange,
Changes a person like from night into day,
Cause when I look into the mirror and see,
Now I see a stranger instead of me

(repeat verse)

(2nd bridge)
I never realised what's gone wrong till it's too late,
and then you turn around and you say it's fate,
But in your heart you're still filled with grief,
Cause in your mind you still cannot believe

(repeat chorus)

I hear this all the time in my songs..
The vocals could come up quite a bit.

To fill the song out I would add a tiny bit of stereo echo to the guitar. That would give it a more stereo feel in the headphones!

Great song!

Nice song and performance! I like the soft close miked vocal. The guitar was a bit booming in the bass (on my headphones at least) so I think you could cut a little below 150Hz if you've got a EQ plug-in. Mark's suggestion about adding a little stereo effect and reverb would really give it a final polish.
Thanks for posting - I enjoyed listening.

Thanks :)
thanks for your comments. ya.. I realised the bass was a bit tad too high.. still a bit new to my mixer :)

Was thinking of re-doing it, but I'd done so many takes, and I was getting tired and hoarse haha :)

Maybe I'll up a better version of this song again.

..
as stated the vocals can come up a tad. the soft quietness to the vocals create a feeling of internal conflict and of being unsure of something. there are parts where i think you could let yourself open up a bit and really let the emotion out. perticularily when you start to sing a little higher. it feels as if you are holding back. as a whole a nice song and way better than any of my early posts.

Welcome aboard!!
You are very good. Loved the guitar and the lyrics. Your vocals are good too, just a little too quiet. I hope you will be happy here and continue sharing your music with us. Great first post. Best of luck to you

Stranger in the mirror.
Love the title to your song.
I think you have a great voce loads of potential. Probably jus a bit nervous and need a little bit more confidence to sing it a little louder. Its all there though
Welcome to Macjams. I have only been here now 4 months.
Feels lke I have been here years. Its a great place.

Peace Dee.

Cool!
Lovely guitar playing, I liked your singing and the tone of the guitar. Nothing wrong with this piece but just if it was recorded with a better quality or it's a mixing matter. Very nice work!

I couldn't get
your voice as loud as I would like. It is sweetly sung. A very good tune. Thanks.
