I could hear this in a thriller type of film. Is that you on piano? It's very cool.
Like it much.

If this is any indication - you'll be just fine - I know you were concerned. Great first post as a free man. I love the improv and edit approach - I often do the same thing on guitar - but I really wish I could play piano anywhere near this good. Cool piece. [ Reply to This ]

this is another one of those "let it flow" sort of efforts - knowing you can go back and correct the errors later makes the improvising even freer. i've used this approach before - it really works for me if i'm in the right state of mind.
thanks

Fantastic atmosphere &mdash 04/29/08 - 11:08:36 PM
Love the doubling on strings and piano - and the grainy basso. Suggestive of some of Scriabin's work - which is a marvelous thing. I faved it! Hope you get a chance to hear and comment on some of my compositions. Cheers! [ Reply to This ]

I like Scriabin. I wonder if I accidentally played that Mystic chord of his somewhere in here?

it wasn't meant to be spooky - but i suppose maybe the vastness of space is kinds scary. maybe that's it?

Nicely done, Bill. This is moody and melodic, with a very nice feel.
Thanks for this tasteful trip to the stars. ;)

oh my.... &mdash 04/30/08 - 09:41:14 PM
I need my blankey!! Turn the light back on NOW. This is incredible. It meets or beats every scarey movie I have ever watched. A lot of psycho memories and just scarey thrillers running wild. You did a great job pulling this off. Very creative. Great job keeping me up my friend. :) Forget the stars...this has "full moon" written all over it [ Reply to This ]

i wasn't trying to make this scary (as Micheal also said) - it was meant to be out there in the universe (and some other metaphoric stuff). but it's completely OK if that's what you got from it - as long as it brought about a reaction!
thank you [ Reply to This ]
Remarkable &mdash 05/05/08 - 02:23:31 AM
Smoke, this is amazing. Your piano skills are formidable, and your expression in this piece is compelling. I love what you did with the strings. You've created a very unique, dynamic atmosphere throughout.
Congratulations on this accomplishment. A complete success. [ Reply to This ]
