Description:
This is actually one of the first songs i wrote. It was written back in 2005, and i have posted two recordings of it. However that was before i got to know anyone here at macjams, and I deleted them quite fast. I believe I have tried to record this song about 15 times, without being satisfied. I think i have done a good recording and a good mix this time. I have not done everything alone this time, Darren Locke (Urbnite) has done the harmony vocals and has played a lead acoustic guitar. His contribution is wonderful. I am very proud that darren wanted to contribute to this song. Besides darrens voice and lead guitar, the rest of is played by me. I had a great time with the ukulele this time:)

Lyrics:
I´m laughing loud and clear
In the light of day
I´m screaming out loud in the dark of night with fear
All the lives that I have forsaken
All the lifes that I have touched
Someone say it means so much
Both for good and both for bad

I don’t want to understand
All I want is misery
Feeling bad is feeling good
Feeling all that I cant see

Make me blind don’t make me weak
Make it all go away
Being blinded is a gift,
Opened eyes are weak

All the things that I still say
To people without any shame
Nothing can stop me from giving you pain
All the lives that I have taken
All the lies that I have touched
Someone say it means so much
Both for good and both for bad

I don’t want to understand
All I want is misery
Feeling bad is feeling good
Feeling all that I can´t see

Make me blind don’t make me weak
Make it all go away
Being blinded is a gift,
Opened eyes are weak

i believe i had the old version of this on my ipod right now. i didn't think there was anything wrong with the previous recording. the mix sounds good. i think your soft vocals on the previous recording held more of an emotional quality to them. i have always thought this one of your best songs it seems to have a lot more content lyrically and has a lot of meaning. i was actually listening to your songs tonight at work as i do almost every night )

Nice acoustic sound &mdash 05/05/08 - 04:48:22 PM
Magnus, at first I was surprised to see Darren on here, then I thought about it and realised it was a really good collab team. The acoustic sounds really nicely recorded. The song itself is one of those "sounds happy but is sad" ones - a really good tune.
Good vocal performance from you both - just a cool song well performed.

You're really learning, Magnus... &mdash 05/05/08 - 07:17:17 PM
You could always sing, and sing well, but your sense of recording arrangement and mixing is expanding at a phenomenal rate...

The guitar tracks are pristine, and nicely treble-ized with that overlay of ukulele, and it's neat to hear some bass in there as well.

Mind you, you're not cheering me up any too much...

This track is pure goodness. The lyrics are some of my alltime favourite lyrics.

Cant wait to remix!

Opened eyes are weak...

good stuff, nice whacked edge to it to...love those harmonies. Reminds me a bit of our own mikki nylund or maybe John Snell.

Great vocal and melody! This song to me has that Austin country/folk feel to it. It would not be out of place being played in a bar on sixth street.
