What You Deserve by Rivelino

Description
Rivelino was a very ramshackle band that had a very fluid line up of likely lads that skulked around Birmingham UK in the mid 1990s. Born out of the ashes of endless bob brown and the cybernauts with a bit of elizabeth jane's eardrum buzz thrown in for good measure, sometimes there were 11 people in the band and sometimes only 3. They all swapped instruments for every song - which made things even more ramshackle

But they were good

And they were loved

On day, in a rehearsal studio in Birmingham, the bass player Ian decided to sing, the guitar players David and Bryn helped him out with a rickety backing

This song was only ever played this one time, so it truly is a prototype...I am so glad I pressed record on the cassette recorder.

Look out for a more polished 'studio version' in the future from Sonic Magpie

In the meantime, here is Rivelino's demo for CBGB's

wail potential
Great demo - I can hear this as an intro and just the audience settles in, you crank it up and start wailing on it.

I always loved that dripping water reverb. How'd you do that?

A good song.
I would like to hear this as a finished product but it still holds up here. A good song is a good song, no matter what form it is in.

Totally unexpected
and delightfully rickety.
Among the screaming lead singers and lead guitars, this stands out as a pleasant emo entry.
Nicely done.
