loved the words too. Well done you performed it great. loved hearing your voice. But having said that I feel like doing the chicken dance it pleased me that much Lol.
I am also going to be reciting more of my poetry soon too. Got one on Icompositions but the metronome spoiled it by keep clicking.
Got good reviews though also.
Yeah when i was a litle girl my brothers and sisters always called me Snotty Dotty and it hurt it really did.

It's so nice hearing your voice again. I stumbled in on this quite by visit's sake only. Glad I did.
The words resonate with irony because they're true. Though I was young in the 70s, I miss that era - it was full of laughter and breezes. My mom was so beautiful, in a different way than today; my dad was strong and quick with wit.
This is a song of reflection which anyone who can recall "Mrs. Brown's lovely daughter" or knew how to "Drift away" can recall when music made an important difference to one's life.
now, I likes me the punk just fine, but I loves me the folk, too. My own music is right on with the request you make in this piece, so that justifies what I do and makes me feel good.

I was on vacation in England somewhere in the 70s and saw some actual punks. They seemed to have nothing in common with the art school punks that were paraded on tv. Although, watching "Sid and Nancy", some of them must have been sincere in their completely contrary attitude. In a way I admire their consistency, even if I disagree with the basic premisses.
But it probably wasn't fun to live in some parts of England in those days. You express your feelings about it well.
And you're also the only person I've ever heard use the term "the naughties".

firstly, thank you for dropping by and .... every generation is looking for a way to be different - i understand that those kids were sick of the pink and fluff of frank, donny and marie, etc. but there were some that will always jump aboard any ship - they're just made that way.
just like america, there are some parts of england that aren't fun to live in today - sometimes it seems like more - the names have changed but there is still 'youth' hanging around in the park instead of sitting at home making music at their computers!!! :)
hmmm .... i've heard a few people refer to the 'noughties' - i think ;)
