Pretty self-explanatory, but this is what Kelli told me when she sent me this to work on: "My great-grandmothergave me a little plaque that said, God is Love. And
it's true. The lyrics shaped themselves and it's really radical at heart, poking fun at religious text and places of worship and ideas of conversion. I just hope you're ok with that. ; ) I'd love some pedal steel, brushed drums, or whatever you hear."

Being a Buddhist myself, my concept of God is a bit alternative, but I still really like this song, the whole idea behind it. Thanks for listening!

God isn't in a building, He is in us. Cool song about God's nature, which is Love. If we all followed the golden rule, life would be so much sweeter here. Very good vocals and guitars, love it. :-)

no doubt considering all those perverting the Word of God these days.I know what will help you with your flippancy towards Him......God's moral Law.

Let God's implanted little 'knower',your conscience accuse you as it does and will all men.
Stand before your Creator as a liar,a thief and a adulterous blasphemer.We all will because we've all violated His Law.The difference is those excepting God's payment through 'the cross' will be free of His wrath to come for those violations.Don't jump from the plane of life without strapping on the Lord Jesus.

The song's discription
is what I was commenting about;Poking fun at conversion,religious text,etc.I couldn't agree more with the song title given it is Biblical and the fact we are all by nature wicked and can only obtain forgiveness by what God did for us.Now that's love!As for all the rest,the piece is as always first rate in my ears!

Yes, Love

It's a great song.

God indeed is Love, but, it seems, many humans have to still figure that one out !

I am amazed that such simple, and direct lyrics could be considered somewhat controversial - or an "easy target" as one poster chooses to put it !

Seems to me ..
.. that you're words are as close as I could get to how I feel about the concept of "the big fella upstairs".

Lovely, sensitive (and sensible) lyrics, beautifully sung and played, and mixed to perfection. These really laid back songs are always too hard when I attempt them - very difficult to pull off successfully, and you've done it with apparent ease.

I couldn't agree more with the title. Of course, any time you put "God" in the title of your song, you are reducing your audience (right or wrong, that's just the way it is - and yes, I've put God in a song or two myself).

Lyrically, I thought the concepts could have been presented more powerfully and more poetically. As they are here, I thought they were maybe a bit mundane.

Interesting choice to leave the bridge without lyrics and in this instance, I think an effective choice.

A nice listen and a wonderful sentiment.

This is a really nice song. I love the simplicity of it and the crisp production and performance is amazing. Your vocals are phenomenal and the guitar creates a warm atmosphere for this song.

An excellent posting that I will enjoy on my iPod for a long time, Lord willing.
