Description:
This is the third song I recorded digitally. I wrote this about a dream I had shortly after I sobered up and got clean. The lyrics are the sequence of events that was the dream itself. Forgive me for not writing them out, I am lazy lol. I put this through my new mastering suite and the results were very good. It made a muddy over mixed and processed song palatable lol. It will eventually be redone and mixed properly though, if I ever find the time. Thanks to those of you who will listen and, to those of you who have listened to my previous posts and, left wonderful comments and advice I truly appreciate any direction given to me as I am still learning all about the digital medium. This site has truly been a godsend.

this is definitely an arrangement dominated by guitars. Until there was an actual drum break I was wondering if there was a drum at all, and the bass is also very modest.
But it doesn't bother me. It all flows very smoothly.
You mastering software does a nice job. The vocals are intellligible without being turned up. Good job overall.
Oh, I enjoy the couple of creative chords at the end of the verse. It's a nice change after a lot of 3-chord work.

It seems you've gone for a more straightforward drum track here Guy, and the song benefits from the straighter timing. You have a great voice, and everything else sounds good (great to see another Tele player around here).
Suggestion: It sounds like you have the drums and bass panned left and right. It's standard practice to centre the bass (and it could definitely benefit from being louder in the mix), and I'd also suggest trying to get a little more centring on the kit. You have it in stereo, but it seems weighted to the left. I notice you panned the vocal and guitars too, and they work really well for me on this track.
You clearly have significant songwriting and singing talent. Glad I happened on your songs.

Built strong as a brick "shiphouse," and performed with the kind of restraint that takes a whole lot of judgement and patience. Pop is an oft-under-appreciated art. Of course, most of what passes for chart-topping pop is over-appreciated. All of us here I am sure would rather see you riding up those mass-audience charts.
