is really nice, SJB! Good melody and some fine pickin'. I've never heard of the cfcfcf tuning. Where did you get it or did you discover it yourself? [ Reply to This ]
Hi Bflat &mdash 05/04/08 - 01:38:56 PM
Thanks for taking the time to listen and your kind comments. The only other use of this tunning I know of is by Nick Drake the English singer/song writer who died young in the seventies. I think we can say he invented it. It's really good for getting some unusual chords and drone notes ringing out. I've used it on a few other posts too (Red Apple Juice, Glen Byre, Drakes Waltz). Just need to watch you eyes taking the top E string up to F!
All the best to you
Steve

Thanks &mdash 05/05/08 - 11:57:24 AM
Thanks for listening Yeman and for your nice comments. You should try this tunning because it is quite liberating and you can get some unusual chords and riffs going using just a few fingers. I've been waiting for your follow up to My Town - are you planning to upload anything soon?
Best wishes to you
Steve
