Description:
the guitar part on this one was inspired by heart shaped box (nirvana) i have played around with it a few times and was trying to sing over it than i was looking through my poetry book and found a piece that seemed to fit it nicely. this was yet another quick demo that i will probably re do eventually with everything seperate. i still have some mixes of previous posts i need to get up. i just keep getting distracted posting newer things.

Lyrics:
mistress of the moon
tell me what you've done
where has the sun gone
he never seems to shine

did you take him in your bed
suck his blood so dry
did you chain him to the wall
in a magic land away

mistress of the moon
i love your darkened glow
the way your hair flows
sets my heart aflame

but mistress of the moon
where has the sun gone
with out his energy
i have no strength to love

your darkness so beautiful
i need the light to see
the power of the sun
drove strength with in my bones

mistress of the moon
if you take the sun
how can i live
you never stay with me

well written and honest delivery &mdash 05/05/08 - 10:23:49 AM
this is really cool to me. usually when you hear a title like "mistress of the moon" you expect this surreal cold thing, but this sounded grounded and honest. i could see how this song could be played and used in different styles and ways, thats just even more proof thats its a winner. a little more production and this is a real ace. its surreal but it was your delivery of it that really helped take me along.

calm, your voice sounds somewhat different than some of your others. Did you do something different? Sounds great.
Thanks and take Care, Russ

yes i was singing lower and with more of an attempt at a dark feel to the vocals. i didn't do anything different on the recording, just a different feeling to the singing. im glad you enjoyed it :)
