the punk sound really well - love the chainsaw guitar and processed vocals. The drums sound just right too. Great track.

of those two bands before (I thought of Dr. Know as the guitarist for the Bad Brains). I checked out myspace pages for both... pretty cool!
From what I heard, I give Murphy's law the slight edge. I'll confess that hardcore punk has not been a big part of my musical diet for a while. Reminding me of a quote from a J Mascis interview that his band stopped playing thrash because "we had sex"

thanks for the kind comments...
although this was put together pretty quickly (I even used the imac internal mic to record the vocal - ugh) it was a labour of love.
I am old enough that the arrival of punk coincided with my pubescent years, tremendously exciting for a young lad who was already music-obsessed since about grade one. doing this brought back some great memories.... Hearing the sex pistols for the first time (over breakfast on a tiny portable tape recorder)%u201A trying to defend the music of the sex pistols to my thoroughly unimpressed music teacher, listening to Ramones "Leave Home" on my friend's record player (to the disdain of his older brother who preferred Pink Floyd The Wall (ha ha!)....

The CBGB idea was completely brilliant and I had a lot of fun listening to what folks came up with... kind of like a "theme party"...
look forward to the next challenge.
