Description:
While writing the lyrics for my first CBGB's track I came up with the idea for another song and went ahead and put it together. This one took even less time to create (total punk). I usually keep the lyrics a little cleaner than this, but I figure what the hell, now would be the time.
This is a little more in the old spirit of Minor Threat and Adolescents.
This is the track to help close the house down. Lets break some crap and get drunk.
The picture is of my old punk band in about 1995. I'm the guy on the left behind the pole.

Production wise I'm not really doing anything different. I'm plugging direct from my GT-3 into the computer and using the amp simulators. I've tweaked the setting a bunch however. The drums are all Drums on Demand and those seem to give an authentic feel. I have a very hard time getting vocals to sound right.

Those DOD drums and guitars are superb. Sounds very punk (although your precision and timing is much better than on some of the punk records I have). Great production.

Yeah the GT-3 seems to give a little extra, but I'm still working on getting a cleaner sound. I only know enough about this stuff to be dangerous.

When I was writing the lyrics I tried to put in more of those extended notes but it ended up just being the disagree lines. I like the way those sound too.

It's about freakin' time someone REALLY got in touch with the CGBG's I knew and loved. THIS is the type of music I used to hear there (from what I can remember...lol). Spot on, raw, ragged and rawkin'. Nice work Nick.

I thought we might hear more tunes leaning toward this style in the challenge but they were definitely all over the board. Thats great though cause we got to hear a little of everything.
