Description:
This is my first attempt at GB. Please excuse the choppy leads I left my monitor button on and had to go back and chop out background noises. I am totally new to macs and recording in general. I played a few of the GB loops and the guitar riffs just came out...It is not a complete song yet but I thought I would try posting it to see what kind of feedback I might get. Hope you like it.

Lyrics:
No lyrics just a simple tune

Hardware:
Recorded with a Fender American Tele, and my home amp rig a Marshal AVT 30/Traynor 80 watt going thru a POD xt. to the guitar jack on the mac. The rest is pure GB.

Software:
garage band

Good start. You've laid down some snappy licks which
blend well with the GB loops. Way to keep the energy level
up!

Thanks a bunch this is really a great way to express myself and I feel like the
people on this site are of a like mind. I like the idea that we have some really
talented and gifted people who dont mind sharing. I dont have an ipod yet
but when I get one I will probably download everybody's tunes and listen to
them in the car throughout the day. I am so tired of the same tunes day in
and day out on the radio that this is a welcomed alternative and keeps the
musical brain cells active as well. If you hear a loop that you reccgnize you
get to hear what someone else did with it. This loop in particular was done in
another song called Indian Party which I am totally crazy about just because
the theme became Indi! It expressed that person's inner music, and lets face
it that is where the real art hides! Okay enough of my babbling. Thanks
again

This is very Santana like. LIvely and solid guitar riff with good selection of loops. Look forward to hearing more.

Thank you dadai, yes the latin percussion practiaclly begged for this type of
guitar work, and I wish I had been the one who originated that sound but
Carlos was there first. I dont think I have any choice but to finish it out in like
manner. But I will play around with it to see if it can go in another direction
and still come out valid. That's the beauty of home recording we can play at
our convenience. We have so many sounds that we associate with the original
makers i.e. Santana, EVH, Jimi, Angus Young... the list is endless, that it is
hard to sound orginal anymore but if it brought Carlos Santana to mind I
consider it an absolute compliment! I consider myself a mediocre guitar
player so I will walk around with a big head all day today! Thanks for the
input.

If you are a mediocre guitar player, I am nothing -- come confiscate my
weeping, violated guitar. You are GREAT, man! Keep your head up for a week
or more.

Hey now my head is getting reeeally big now... I may not speak to my dog!
Thanks for the kind words and no... don't ever dismiss your talent. Because
like your passions and through your desires it will continue to evolve! I don't
play with anyone except my new found friends here at the macjammer, so in
a sense no one will ever hear me play. But I get to share my inner stuff with a
whole lot of very exceptionally cool people. That's good enough for me. So
go buy a new pick and dust off that axe young man....there is music to be
made!

Well, I must admit that macjammin' has helped to increase my skills with both
axe and vox. MacJams.com is the site for nourishment and growth. Now, go
talk to your furry friend.

Yep big head and all I assured my dog that just as soon as I could lay down a
track for iGstudio that was half way uasable I would celebrate with a doggy
bagel for her. I am currently colabing with him on a new jazz tune and it is a
real toughie. But I am having so much fun with the challange that I hope I
can do him some justice. I worked on my car all day yesterday and again
today that my hands are all beat up from wrentching! Will soak them in
Epsum salt to bring the swelling down and have another go at that bad boy!
What fun! ....later

Sounds cool... I like the balance you have between the ambiance sounds and the more striking guitar and horn blast 'noises'. Bouncing your melody around is also effective. thanks for the nice comment on my piece :)
