Description:
This was another collab with my friend Iain. This story with this track was that I was house sitting while he and his girlfriend were on holiday, and the music program was all mine, so I created this track however it needed some thing else and left it for Iain to listen to. Iain then added the little break in the middle, that was exactly what it needed. Here it is rescued from the damaged hard drive. Enjoy.

it is beautiful in an ugly way. it seems to be traveling with purpose. with malice? it is "science fiction industrial" genre? the rhythm is strong. the music is unique. unique is beautiful. this is very unique. thank you for the space toad. 0x0
Diviner
for listening and commenting. The idea was to have a powerful rhythm and bass and yet have a beautiful, tranquil backround pad/string but got stuck, that is when Iain put in a tranquil break and it was finished. Quite happy with it really.

am looking at the frog, and i can totally see him going throuh the paces of the day with this playing in the background. really weird tune, i like.
Diviner
for listening and commenting. Yes there could be an army of toads marching to the track. I'm really pleased that you like the track. Thanks again.

Cool sounds, and nice use of percussion. I agree with your comment about the break - it really adds a new dynamic element to the track. Very cool track. Nicely done. Peace.
P.S. I loved michael2's comment - makes me think this is what's going through a toad's head.
Diviner
Really pleased that you like the track, the percussion surprisingly worked well, which I'm pleased. It might be something I might consider more of in future tracks, although this track it is about 7/8 years old. Yes the track needed that break, its the beautiful thing about collabs, that they can get the best out of each person. Thanks again.
tokai
keep em comin, another reason why music should be so playful.
Diviner
for listening and commenting, appreciated as always. I'm pleased that you like the track. The next track in the pipeline is a bit more upbeat and very playful, so stay tuned.

Smoking fat groove on this one, Keith. This is one of those tunes that if it were 30 minutes longer, I'd never tire from hearing it. The toad image really makes it work even better for some bizarre reason.
So, tell us which program this was done in?
I think Lain needs to go on vacation more often!
Killer toad tune makes another great Diviner download for the trusty iPod.
Thanks,
Bob

Good to see you and really pleased that you like the track. The track originally went on for 12 minutes, but Iain suggested to lessen it. Also the track was done on Cubase about seven or eight years ago. Thanks again for listening and commenting.

I've listened to some of your works, the first thing I found was that there is a psychedelic sense in most of your songs which helped it, Good job.
Diviner
for listening and commenting. I always do have a psychedelic edge to the tracks because thats what I like, and I'm really pleased to see that you have picked up on that. Thanks again.

'electronica' description of one of Australia's most despised introduced creatures....I can't STAND cane toads....they are pretty much one of the most destructive critters to be introduced to our shores.....
Great piece though!
:)
This would make a great soundtrack to a 70's style 'horror' film about said revolting toads!
Cheers!

the environmental destruction by cane toads did not occur to me when writing this track, however compared to the environmental destruction done by man (introducing cane toads, mining etc), cane toads pale into insignificance. Having had my moan for the day I'm really pleased that you like the track which on this site is important and I'm really pleased that you listened to the track. I can see where you get a horror idea from, there does appear to be quite a creepy element to the track. Thanks again.

"compared to the environmental destruction done by man (introducing cane toads, mining etc), cane toads pale into insignificance."
...and "amen" again...I couldn't have put it any better, my friend!
LOL!

Diviner
I don't know if its my toad on your brain, can we share toads on this site?
Appreciate you listening and commenting on this track, glad you like it.

You wonder what's on his mind. Whatever it is, he sounds obsessed with it. Cute track.
Diviner
The cane toad does look like he is on a mission, mind you the track does have a similar sound of detirmination. Thanks again for listening and commenting, appreciated.
magnatone
This is wild, bizarre, irresistable!
Diviner
Pleased to see you here and glad you like the track. Thanks again for listening and commenting. Always appreciated.

Diviner
Really good to see you. I'm really pleased as well that you like the track and that you have never really heard anything like this. Really glad. Thanks again for listening and commenting.
spitlogic
I can see so much potential in this song. Very well organized and raw.
Diviner
for listening and commenting. Does this mean that you would like to rap over the track? That would be amazing. Thanks again.
Hi Keith
Is that a toad in the hole. No !! its a Toad On A Rock LoL
It does look menacing though. You did good on this one.
I like this its good fun. Sound effects are really good . I know I am comenting a bit late, but as you know I am feeling a bit under the weather but this cheered me up made me laugh as well. ha ha

but frogs are kind of weird anyway. I don't know but I keep seeing a frog digging a hole with a shovel. Hmm.....think I might be a little bit weird too.
Diviner
You do tend to put strange comments but I like them and nothing is too weird. Really pleased you like the track. Please keep the comments coming.
edpdx
I like it. Is sound more like a bad ass frog with a mission to conquer and destroy.
Diviner
for listening and commenting, its always appreciated. It seems it has conquered and destroyed Australia. It is one bad ass toad, however I was more concerned with its psychedelic side although this track does give the impression of marching. Thanks again.
