Description:
This is my take on One Sweet World's "Rain Rain" improvisation. I recommend head phones if you have them near by.
It's such a cool vocal track to work around. Thanks go to One Sweet World for opening it to collaborations.
Appropriately it's been cloudy raining all day as I mixed this.

Mad track &mdash 05/07/08 - 05:07:25 PM
Really interesting take. Like the bass, lovely and powerful. The tracks beats and bobs keep it interesting esp the extra vocals you have added, certainly put a smile on my face. Cool track, really enjoyed. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks for listening. It's easy to work with such a strong performance. I like the way the beats, bass and vox all play off each other too.

very nice &mdash 05/07/08 - 05:44:49 PM
this is one of my fave takes on this vocal. very cool sounds and the drum work is just outstanding (love the glitchy stuff). [ Reply to This ]

I've been listening to Ryoji Ikeda non-stop for the past three days, so glitch is kind of the flavor of the week. I liked the idea of glitching out the track and juxtaposing it with Linda's jazzy vocals---glad that it works for you. Thanks for stopping by.

Cool &mdash 05/07/08 - 05:55:21 PM
The different takes on this are amazing. You fit the vocal to this sharp beat very well. Cool track
Thanks

I haven't checked out many of the other "Rain Rain" remixes yet because I'm behind on the CBGB's tracks, but at least I have lots of stuff to look forward to.
Thanks for stopping by.

Innovative &mdash 05/08/08 - 03:35:13 PM
Innovative stuff. As I Have stated before, I love the vocal. And I think you (Greg) did a sensational job here. Production is A-1. Perfect.
Keep it up brother.

My kinda style &mdash 05/09/08 - 08:52:28 AM
I'm a fan of this one!! I love it in fact. I'm not sure how i feel about the robot voice in the beginning. Once it starts kicking in though with the amazing beats it has a mind of it's own. Good stuff!!!!! [ Reply to This ]

I liked the feel of your jazzy, bluesy singing over the electro beat in your original mix. Jazz and blues are so inimitably human art forms and your beat loop was so mechanical: I wanted to push that pairing a little further with this mix. It is a little disturbing at the start though, I agree.
Thanks for dropping in and commenting,

Beautiful track &mdash 05/13/08 - 11:09:19 AM
Nicely done. I like the computer voice, it's like a childish, awkward shaped anchor keeping the airy vocals and the atmospheric beats from floating off into the beyond. It's an overcast (but snowy, rather than rainy) day today, and the song was an excellent compliment. [ Reply to This ]
