Micheal's CBGB THEME http://www.macjams.com/song/42594 reminded me of a little unfinished song i'd made up years ago based on the chord progression D E A D B E E F... I even had the start of some lyrics for the meoldy: "Dead beef enjoying the sun".

i guess it's still not finished.

the song was made long before i knew anything about hexadecimal. a friend of mine years ago at DEC used to write DEADBEEF into memory to flag it as uninitialized. apparently that idea got into IBM's firmware somehow http://www.flickr.com/photos/absoblogginlutely/131368565/

So, you really go for those in jokes, Moof? How many people on Macjams are going to get the reference? One? Two? Certainly not 68,000! But I see you have your tongue firmware planted in your cheek with this. I guess I should nil (not) point our reference two words of wisdom. I don't think the human brain was meant to grok your humor. If anyone tried to stare at your digraph above, they would most likely snow-crash.

But I digress. I "got" your "odd" Mac assembly instruction reference, and enjoyed the tune as well. Took me back to the old days, ahhh. I even called Motorola and asked for my free copy of the 68020 reference manual, since I had a Mac II back then. Thanks for sharing your inner geek!
