Lyrics
Life isn’t simple
as playing a game
the rules keep changing all the time

You think the road’s one way, and then it's another
You’re rich and then you’re down to your last dime.

Ever since I saw your face
I’m feeling out of place
Ev’ry thing I knew about my world
has gone without a trace.

But still the music remains.
I hear the band,
give me your hand
before I go insane,

And save a dance just for me
just one little dance all for me
I don’t wanna think about tomorrow just right now.
So save a dance just for me
just one little dance all for me
when the sun comes up I’ll cry myself to sleep.

I want to live life in this moment
in your arms
so while the band is hot,
baby let me feel your charms

Oh, baby save one dance for me oh baby please!

And save a dance just for me
just one little dance all for me
I don’t wanna think about tomorrow just right now.
So save a dance just for me
just one little dance all for me
when the sun comes up I’ll cry myself to sleep.

mood music
Love the jazz appeal, but i think the production is a little
oversimplified. Vocals are pleasant and appealing in its
rawness. Instrumental arrangement needs a little
polishing to make it sound more professional.
Overall, definitely above average but there is potential for
excellence.

rather like it
thanks for sharing it.... with a bit of nip & tuck it could be quite a tune!

This song is crying out...
for a real band to back you up. I can hear a little klezmer
clarinetist dolling this number up.

Your vocals are superb. I would love to hear this song
professionally produced.

Great song writing needs great production!

Nice cabaret style
Your smooth standards style vocals was very refreshing.
Love the spaces you gave yourself, the understated
performance, the vibrato. and the vibes were cool. The
piano comping was perhaps too stiff and sometimes
sounding quantized to an off 16th note. But the track was
very enjoyable. Nice classic tune.
