Great tune and I love the beat. I am new to the macjams
thing and dont know how to collaborate yet so maybe you
could give me some technical guidance. I would be glad to
do a little guitar work for the piece. It doesnt need much
cause I like the sound just like it is. I was 14 years old
when I went to go see Dave Brubeck live and that whispy
sax work sure brought back some great memories! Keep
up the great stuff I will certainly be listening for more of
your stuff!

Cool tune &mdash 10/13/04 - 01:11:00 PM
Nice head to this tune. Great melody, full of life and fun.
Wondering about the mix, tho. The comping is so soft
(can redoing the piano part be a part of the
collaboration?), your smooth sax comes off as kind of
overpowering...and then gets kind of lost in the
recapitulation of the head. And even tho it is cool that a
jazz guitar doubles you, it sounds kind of MIDI... is it
supposed to be a placemarker for when a real
collaborating guitarist takes over? (as with the ending
MIDI instrument ensemble?) The track is totally light, fun,
and the coda is great. I love actual composed endings.
Reminds of Dizzie and Bird. Is there a trumpet player in
the house? Nice composition. Glad your compositional
hiatus has ended and you have begun a new era of
expressiveness here. I absolutely love your tone and
playing.

Cool tune &mdash 10/13/04 - 01:54:58 PM
Thanks!
Piano comps: I would love to hear live part, may be even organ (hint? with a
cherry on top?)
Guitar - same thing, if someone would replace the octave MIDI melody with a
real sound, it would be great. I am thinking Scorpjammer's or mujigo's kind
of sound.
Sax solo is too loud - true, will fix in a next release; so far it's just a sketch of
a song, as all the initial collabs are.
It would be nice to replace the horns, too, if someone would be kind enough
to record them (no trumpet players here, I guess...)
