Description:
The basis of this song was written by an American buddy I have here in Germany, R.C. Brown. He is one of the best guitar players I have ever met.
His flaw: He never finishes his songs. So, this was given to me. I did the words, the bass and that little trippy guitar solo in the middle, which I couldn't believe R.C. liked.

I just dig the feel of this and thought you might enjoy it.

See ya'll around,
Dave

Lyrics:
Never See The Light

When she comes, it’s all done
Size me up, you’re so wrong
Leave me now; take it with you
I don’t want it now

So confused, you see me
Patterns change; I don’t feel free
Come back here; give it to me
I want it all now

I don’t see the light; I’ll never see the light…………
Save me, save me, save me, one last time

I don’t see the light; I’ll never see the light…………

It’s up to you to save me; it’s up to you to save me

Save me, save me, save me, one last time

Words by David Armbruster; Music by R.C. Brown and David Armbruster

BTW, I'm not German, if you didn't already know. I bleed red, white and blue.....and a little purple, too.

Light up! &mdash 05/17/08 - 12:43:27 AM
Hey Dave - this is great, an almost Cocteau Twins but dancier feel to this - i especially like the fast 'dont see the light' vocal bit - really catchy. Great collab guys!

a very infectious song Dave and I agree with Steve about the catchy chorus.
Lovely instrumentation and good vocals (although they could be a tad more up front maybe).
Cheers

I will never get the vocals right. I have come to this conclusion.

Thanks Len,

Very cool &mdash 05/17/08 - 10:25:40 PM
The drums intro is great - a bit old school hip hop - and then the guitars have a wonderfully unexpected dreamy quality. The vocals are great. I'm thinking a kind of Shaun Ryder vibe (but better singing!). The guitar solo is cool - almost sound like pipes. A great track. Nicely done. Peace.

All right &mdash 05/18/08 - 06:54:17 AM
I have no idea who Shaun Ryder is, but thanks. R.C. did the opening drum line and the rhythm guitars, so I have to give him that credit. I did addition drums, bass, solo and of course, the singing.

I'm really glad that someone like you digs this song. Thanks a bunch.

I don't see it either! &mdash 05/19/08 - 12:04:05 PM
I really dig the unique use of backward cymbal swell and some of the flanging. Cool hypnotic mantra about not seeing the light!
