Sit down. I have something to say to you...
Ok folks. I've been kicking around this little tune for awhile now. The problem is - I can't sing and I REALLY can't write lyrics. So I'm throwing it out there for anyone who wants to play with it.
This is a basic little piano track playing the chords and melody. Nothing fancy. You are free to keep the piano, throw the piano away, or re-record a new piano track. I can help or you can do it all on your own. Add guitar, bass, drums, strings, sitar, bodhran...whatever strikes your fancy. Speed it up, slow it down, cut it into little pieces. Whatever. It's yours.
This was recorded in GB4. I can send that file to anyone who wants it. You can download the mp3 here. I have a favor to ask - anyone who has Logic 8 that can export these midi files for me? I would greatly appreciate it so that I can share them with others.
All I ask is that you drop me a note letting me know you are posting something. Like I said, if you want me to collab at all by adding some different piano or something just let me know.
Here's the basic layout of the song:
4/4 time, 105 bpm, key of E Major
chords are E, A, B and an occasional C#m thrown in for good measure.

what a beautiful tune you have here... simple, strong, and the strict pacing gives it a slightly stately feel, but still with a lot of rich romance. It is as if I've just had a wonderful evening meal with my sweet love, and we are now relaxing in chairs on a back porch, overlooking a wooded lake, with the warm sun setting. Very evocative for me. Thank you for the imagery! It will be intriguing to see where this heads!
