Description:
Wanted to play with GB a little. Was in a pissy mood. Read a post saying they wanted to hear more tunes NOT in C, NOT in 4/4 and NOT at 120 bpm. So this one starts in Em then jumps to Bb for the chorus, 140 bpm, and is in 6/4 then 3/4 (yes there is a difference) then 6/4 again.

start off with a Poster Childrem meets Sonic Youth meets Wilco kind of thing then hits a catchy chorus. Check it out - you just might be surprised. (one way or the other)

Lyrics:
AlwaysAWay | ©2004 MooShu Music/Ray Kainz

The Joker has a tendency to cry at the Queen's parties

So the Queen always rains on his parade

She still never fails to have fun at her parties

While the Joker - he's sent away

The Queen is in the kitchen cooking cakes for her party

The Joker's not around - always never in his place

It's time to serve dessert for the party guests

but the Joker's in the streets giving away free cake

giving it away giving it away

THERE'S ALMOST ALWAYS A WAY

TO GET AWAY

FROM ALL THAT GETS IN THE WAY

BETWEEN ME AND YOU

THERE'S ALMOST ALWAYS A WAY

TO GET AWAY

JUST ME AND YOU

The Joker has a tendency to cry at the Queen's parties

So the Queen always rains on his parade

The Joker's never heard the Queen sssay she's sorry

but the Joker's got a way of always winning the charade

He's got a way He's got away

I don't know.... &mdash 10/13/04 - 11:24:35 PM
about not playing in C or not palying 120 bpm or not
palyng in 4/4 time. I am just glad you recorded another
song about the Queen!!
Seriously---another good one. Keep it up. Your are a
fresh breeze in the rock air of macjams. 32/4 all
around.

This song is great &mdash 10/16/04 - 01:50:52 PM
and deserves better rating for both Content and Creativity.

I did say that, didn't I? &mdash 10/19/04 - 06:10:52 PM
Well you definitely stretched the envelope, didn'tcha?

I LOVE this song.

Absolutely fabulous proto-glam poppy-punk. The Sweet
meets Greenday.

The Mancini "Pink Panther" opposing descending scales!

The not-in-lockstep snare!

The angsty, yet happy sounding vocals, perfectly
recorded!

The neck snapping ending!

10s across the board.

Very catchy, imaginative tune!

Excellent vocals/lyrics, and really great accompaniment.
LOTS going on there in the background, but very well-
balanced. I really like all the fast-note figures which
provides an energetic foundation.

Rockin git playing!

You paint a lot of bright colors on this musical canvas.
Well done!

I'm liking your vocal style a lot. You make it seem effortless while packing a nice punch. 8-8-9-8 from me...

Another winner! &mdash 06/05/05 - 09:03:24 AM
I also have to thank Troy for putting me onto this.
Yet another slight change in style but again it works.
Like some kind of US punky/prog collaboration. I
hope my DJ friend likes this as much as I do because
if so then it will probably get some radio airplay.
Hoorah! Original, rocky, imaginative and fast moving
stuff. Keep up the good work!
