interesting sidechaining the bass against the synths like that. I dig the chord changes, the rubato trails, the ambience, the organic and professional use of reverb. tight job! very nice finish too [ Reply to This ]

I liked the soundtrack feel of this... nice lifting out of the ambient chorus with a bit of melody, then back into the drone. I did *not* like the kick drum-that-rattled-everything-into-muteness effect, but that is probably because I listened with headphones... interesting idea, but definitely mind-jarring. Perhaps once or twice, but it was a bit to repetitive for a "special effect." Maybe if you did it a couple times, then the next time it hit, you had it completely disintegrate the music (glitch it away...) that might be interesting. Just a thought.

This is really good. A few quibbles: the panning back and forth feels jarring between my ears, which makes it feel less "ambient" and more kind of "in your face" And maybe that's the feel you were going for anyway. Also, I kind of agree with drak about the kick drum - same thing, a jarring feel that yanks you out of the ambient place. all that being said, this is extremely interesting, lots of cool instruments and sounds, great beat.
