Description:
I was having a twang on my acoustic guitar since I finally put some new strings on it and out popped this song, though the lyrics for some reason really had me stumped for a good while. It's a nice summery song that should get people bouncing up and down.... I hope so anyway. First time I've used my acoustic for recording for ages.

Nice track Maurice, Makes me want to hear to the beach, except the closest real beach is about 1200 miles away. Not matter, great lyrics and good guitar playing my friend.
Would have liked a little more bass in the mix, but it doesn't take away from the song. Nice job on the vocal too.

I used to live by the sea and it's only about 20 miles away now, but then again, we are an island over here. I can't imagine some people who never see the sea in their lives though. Thank you for your nice compliments my friend.... I've always been highly strung or so they say LOL. I kept the bass a bit low 'cause bass isn't really my Forte', but I agree it should be louder....only if it was spot on though, cheers M [ Reply to This ]

I really love this, Maurice and think it's one of your finest pieces of writing. I agree that it could use more of a bottom end (and I like your bassline) but the overall song is a knockout. do play it Bob, but just to compose songs. The strings were dead, so I finally changed them and while I've played in a minor way on other songs, the guitar has been very minimal as I'm no guitarist as I've said many times. But not being the best bassist in the world I felt a bit reticent about bringing it up in the mix; though I have gone back to it in GB and raised the drum and the bass quite a bit and it sounds better.
