Description
A song that evolved into a love song about old married couples who fight all the time.

Lyrics:

Seems like only yesterday, fighting for control in the games we'd play
you had your way, I had mine, taking turns, cruel and kind
now 30 years passed not a damn thing's changed
I think its time we rearrange
but if you keep singing bout how were in love
than why in the hell do you push and shove

Bridge:

Away from here, away from here

Chorus:

don't look back at the great unknown
pretty soon we'll be all alone

Think about the times we had
know it wasn't always bad

Don't look back cuz I'm by your side
No need for you to run and hide

Wait for me by the pearly gate
Whole lotta love and a bit of hate

Verse 2:

You really only miss what you cant have again
worst enemy's now your best friend
If you cant look forward might as well look back
dodging the truth always been your knack

But hold your head high and don't be ashamed
now's not the time to be restrained

Just keep on singing about how were in love
and leave it up to me to push and shove

Repeat Bridge & Chorus

Glad you've
managed to find time for a new song... Really catchy too! I especially liked the guitar sound on this one - not quite so keen on the brass - but the tune is one of your best. I think you need to invest in a 'pop' filter for recording your vocals though as there are some explosive p's. Otherwise it sounds great!

Hope all is well with you.

Peter

Hey Peter
Thanks for the kind words, and more importantly, your constructive criticism...that's really what I want to hear...ways to get better. I didn't even know that's what a pop filter did, so thanks...they don't look to expensive...any advice on a brand/type?

take care,

Mike

Hi Mike
I don't think it matters much with pop filters - you could make your own - I got good results from an old speaker grille - it's just easier to buy one if you want to clamp it to a mic stand. You just need it about 100mm from the mic. Please feel free to drop me a note anytime.

All the best
Peter
