This is a great collab. Just the right number of notes in the right places, from my point of view.
Brilliant original work from Shay and then some more from yourself.
The piano piece invites others to add their own bits. It's that type of tune.
Take care.

It probably didn't need the accompaniment - but I had fun with it.
Loved that guitar sound my friend over Shay's beautiful piece. Great work... enjoyed every second.

It's an honour to have you listen and comment to so much of my music.

has a celtic vibe to it, i don't understand how to use this collab thing, but it is an excellent skeleton for others
LunaTrick
Hope you figure out the collabs soon - will be lucky for us!

Loved the original. And I think you did a great job, Luna.

lead and I followed!

Love the guitar work - combined with the marimba! Haha..this is great. Exactly the sort of interesting, beautiful music I would expect from you. Thanks for taking this tune and adding your voice to it - glad you had fun!
LunaTrick
I did enjoy it very much - just letting my inclinations follow your lead. Next time we work together - I will do some cello for you.

How fun, I admit to loving the original (but hey, it's Shay, what can you say?) ... but Daniel, your choice of resonant bass drum and distorted guitar did give this almost a bagpipe feel, not sure how you did that... I guess the bagpipe double-reed and the EQ/clipping from the guitar may create a similar sawtooth wave? Anyway, really nice playing, and the echoing and harmonies you chose really fit this nicely. The marimba... well that was a little bit out in left field (literally), just don't add too many more weird instruments, or Kassia will have to sign you up for KSA meetings (ask her about it) :-)

I love the colouristic guitar of Oldfields early work, say Ohmadawn and Hergest RIdge - and he uses the guitars almost like a bagpipe. I have this old Digitech RP10 effects machine that gets these sort of tones with some post prod fiddling in GB. THe Xylo is a bit strange - but I wanted to create a departure at those junctures. And I agree - Shay is fantastic!

Nice job Daniel! A new MJ band is born!
LunaTrick
...wanna be in our band?
OK you're in!
Rebsie
Lovely bunch of melodic flourishes, with uplifting and sad themes woven so closely together they merge and blend. A really nice piece of work from you both.
LunaTrick
...that you are an expert in... I receive your comment with great pleasure.
The Orbiting
I love the tones you got out of the strat and this is so playful and light and full of joy and I think the marimba (one of my favorite instruments) only adds to that in spades. I haven't heard the original kassia piece, but I'll have a listen to that next. I can hear that it really inspired you and I truly enjoyed this.
LunaTrick
And the piano piece really does stand on its own. Thanks for your close listen - and I will be checking out your work.

I like the laidback feel of this. Some friends sitting down and plucking away at some simple chords. Very sweet.
That xylophone comes as a bit of a surprise. Number 3 joining in? So why does it then disappear almost immediately again?
LunaTrick
I felt that the xylo gave the piece some rhythmic texture at a point where I wanted some departure. It may or may not work - but it felt natural at the time. Cheers for listening!

... to the party here? But at last I did arrive ... nice collab from two of my newest MJ pals !
LunaTrick
Shay and I may have something else in the works... and perhaps we can get you to the dance next time!

The droning sus4's make for Celtic holiday with Guiness aflowing.
Just love the added percussive effects, especially that soft thunderous presence of that bass drum.
What a complimentary accompaniment to your rhythmic romp. Splendid.
Nice feel easy to get lost in, comfortable feel.

mainly because I hear Celtic flavor which is my favorite. I'd like to sing to this..very much. Right now, i'm kind of la-la ing and yodeling. Smiling. This is great. I am sorry I hadn't heard it before. Thanks, both of you.
