Description
Related to the previous piece, "Quartet 1". That piece was originally concieved for string quartet, but I'm in the process of re-orchestrating it for string orchestra, and ultimately the two pieces will be separated by a slower movement; the entire piece will ultimately be three short movements.

Thoroughly enjoyable-
skillfully put together and nicely produced. Very modern compared with what I usually listen to but nevertheless an intelligent piece of music.

I liked Quartet 1, and I like this - a whole lot! You're doing a great job of making these strings come alive, really interesting point/counterpoint, sub-melodies - all the good stuff. Very well executed - you're very good at this! Congrats!

Very intriguing piece...
The pizz opening draws you in - then the ostinato cello with upper strings cascading. A lot of good things here - although it seems to trail off somewhat.

wonderful
Beautiful string composition. You've gotten a pretty good sound out of those Garageband strings. I love the pizzicatos. I can't wait to hear the final 3 pieces together. Very cool tunes you've got here. Thanks!

fun- reorchestration!
Really nice, strong contrast between sections. Great forward movement, too. I like short, contrasting movements as you're describing. they feel more 'in tune' with the modern pace of life.
I do a lot of my writing in Finale, then do the actual midi instrument mixing and tweaking in GarageBand. I see you use the notation & sequencing programs the same way.
