haha Sorry my comment wasn't more eloquent. I was speechless, lost in the rhythms. Cool was about all I could come up with. I really enjoyed this - especially loved how you would drop out the heavier, bass stuff and just let the lighter stuff play for a bit and then bring the big beats back in. This is a fabulous collab. I really think it's fine as a stand-alone piece, but it could also really kick a@@ with some cool ethnic vocals and/or instruments added. Thanks! Check out my latest song called Greensleeves

. thanks for both of your long comments with allot of good feedback. at the end its very distorted but ian's just saying something about how the mic was so sensitive it picked up the sound of the djembe rubbing on my pants or something. ian did drumming on the Charley Monroe song i have here, and he masteres all the songs i record and does all the volumes on the tracks, panning and everything. and this shows that live is better than midi in some ways. i love programmed beats but there's no way anyone could of made any thing that random and complex with the same feeling with a bunch of samples and i midi controller. thank you for listenning Check out my latest song called All Sorts Of Nonsense

Imagine this played on a nice & warm summernight with the moon shining in a natural amphitheatre or stonequarry (we have a real nice stonequarry(pit) half an hour from here where theres been Musicalevents & abit of filmmaking, sculpturebuilding(BIG) which are put to fire reallly cool , 'rollplay'(is that the english name not sure) I must say I'm SO H A P P Y to find this here in the MjJungle ! or town.. ( ; I see You & Ian did this, have U2 done more together? I'm very impressed just LOVE IT tx again (!) |

Very cool I actually heard something like this in the coffee house i frequent once. same sort of thing with 4 guys it was open mic night and One guy got up with an african drum about 30 seconds later another got on stage with bongos a third got on another 30 seconds in, and had what looked like something he had made on his own. The forth guy just got up and walked around us all playing on tables walls chair legs etc.. with a pair of very heavy drum sticks. No one new what the hell was going on at first but after about 6 or seven minutes of this everyone was groovin to the beat. It was one of the best performances in the coffeehouses open mic nights history. It brought down the house. This one is just as good I am going to favorite it and DL so I can close my eyes and go back to that night more often. Great performance you two. I really enjoyed it.
