Description:
Let's start off the proceedings with a cheery little song about a mothers loss.
I kept it as 'real' as possible.
Just me, acoustic guitar, and a not very good mic. Recorded live. No pop shield. Just trying to re-create the coffe shop vibe.
Hope you like it.
Mine's an americano, black, 2 sugars.
Cheers

Lyrics:
your eyes are pools of misty waterI wonder what they see
he is gone but not forgotten
in silent memory
the days you spent just sit and watching
at the world outside
then up he comes alive and kicking
as if he never died
the guilt you feel, though no one blames you
like a stone in the heart
tried to stop what had to happen
now your world’s torn apart
keep the hope alive he’ll rejoin you
and all is well
won’t admit beyond returning
and he never will
you keep his room just as he left it
photos and souvenirs
imaginary conversations
like the golden years
and truth had left you with a shadow
that you can make believe
that he’s alive, alive and kicking
and never going to leave

What a very sad song, full of heart ache and memories. Incredible lyrics and I like the fact that you have done an open mic vibe, very effective. Very cool track.
Beautiful song, wonderfully sung and played. Excellently recorded... I like it!

left behind. Very sad but also very real in it's emotional impact.
Excellent lyrics and your vocal shines through King. Nice simple guitar played along to carry the song where it needs to go is effective and well recorded.
An excellent song indeed my friend, thanks for sharing it. Have a cup on the house.

really nice song. one thing i notice is the change of intensity of hard and light on the guitar strums. Nice it adds a lot to the emotion.

It must have been one of those moments that seem to be more frequent with age lol. I wanted to comment on the sound of your guitar on this one it is so good! Is it a raw signal or is there some compression on it? It is really sweet. I don't think I have heard of a Fleetwood before but it sure sounds nice. Great song and vocal too. It looks like I forgot to favorite as well. Thanks for your visit King the best to you and yours.

Thanks for dropping by.
I'd never heard of Fleetwood guitars either until I bought it.
I chose it over a tanglewood cos it sounded better in the shop.
I just recorded it through my edirol ua-25 guitar preste ( no effect) with a touch of reverb on it on Garageband. Don't usually like Direct inputing acoustics but it seemed to work.
Glad you liked it.
cheers
