..because there is quite alot going on in this piece, i found it challenging to keep everything balanced and clear without losing anything in the mix, and your comment just eliminated any doubt i had, and for that, i thank you!

This is awesome. You did an extremely good job composing this with a balanced instrumental track. One of the best qualities music can have is to build expectations, then transcend beyond them. This was done exceptionally well though the entrance of each individual instrument, especially the heavy guitar and the piano. when everything is combined it just hits the perfect spot.
By the way I really love the piano, and enjoy hearing it within rock music where it is usually avoided. Excellent work!

i'm really glad you picked up on the whole 'building up' thing, i love songs that progress and build through the course of the verses and choruses (coldplays 'fix you' is a prime example). That whole build up thing is was i kinda tried to emulate here, and i'm really glad you thought it worked! Thanks for listening:)

oh i like this. it somehow reminds me of within temptation. its got the nice ambient feel with the electric guitar that comes in. a very nice atmosphere. i'll have to listen when you add the vocals. i dont notice anything wrong with the guitar playing. some of the best songs are 3 chords and one rhythem. or perhaps i just think that cuz that's how my songs often are lol. i like this though

By no means am I knocking your vocals and lyrics... For some reason after I saw Gail post and from what I know of her voice I just actually "heard" her singing along with this as I listened.

Please don't take my comment the wrong way!

Also I downloaded this but it came down with a totally different name and artist... I think this means the settings in GB didn't change from the last song? No idea.. Mine probably do the same... But instead of the song being named MJ43357_Break_Me... It was "americas 2".

No biggie... I just renamed it to "GREAT TUNE by McKenzie"

Mark, your comment cracked me up, theres no need to explain yourself!lol. Actually its funny because whilst i was uploading this, i thought that it would be great if other people wanted to do their thing with it - so i completely agree with you (plus Gail does have a great voice)
Regarding the 'Americas 2' thing, that was what i had originally called it, so i guess it still has some sort of id3 encoded in their somewhere. OhWell, i think i prefer the name you gave it anyway! THANKS:)

You have got to put lyrics to this. The structure is terrific as you can hear where the verses would come in, chorus and bridge. This is a hit...I am not kidding...this falls in line with ColdPlay and the Killers, you hit the spot on this one. This is a really, really cool tune. Don't lose this one, definitely a new fav. Thanks and I look forward to hearing a completed rendition with lyrics.
