Lyrics
DON'T MIND THE TEARS
So long, fare thee well
We may never meet
On the same side of the street
But I can tell
Within your eyes
That grief and pain have made you wise
The Devil offered, still you didn't sell

All the best and God bless you
May the years be kind
And bring you peace of mind
God knows, it's true
That you and I
Have seen too many loved ones die
For having different points of view but...

Don't mind the fears
Don't mind the bitter years
Don't mind your tears, just let 'em roll
And pay no mind
To hate that makes you deaf and blind
'Til there's no love left in your soul

Goodbye and may your road be straight
I will call ye friend
Though this strife seems without end
And we still wait
Though some may long
For vengeance be it right or wrong
I wish you and yours a better fate
(though it be late) so...

Don't mind the fears
Don't mind the bitter years
Don't mind your tears just let 'em roll
And pay no mind
To hate that makes you deaf and blind
'Til there's no love left in your soul

I don't know how love still survives
When I think of all those wasted lives
We grieve and rage but they are gone
The fight for peace still struggles on

Don't mind the fears
etc., etc.,

songwriting
you obviously have a talent for writing a catchy tune.On a more sentimental note - this song would grab alot of hearts and its a straight up message of love - no bull. You have a really proffesional voice and a sense of production in your song. This recording however is lacking a big choir and a real band to give the lift at the end I can feel you are trying to convey.I'm familiar with this dilemma as i tend to sellotape and glue things together - quite literally. From reading your bio,it seems you have worked with some amazing people. What shines through here if not in recording quality (btw - my personal standard is dire) - is the song - its a perfect song in every way.Very sunday-afternoonish.You might take some time out to listen to 'moviz' - a guy with a song just a bit up from yours - he has the same effect on me as your music - a very sincere spirtual feeling - i feel there could be a collaboration somwhere here.Thank you very much for sharing your song - it had elements of reggae to my ears too.Very satisfying and inspiring.

Regards - Richard

Gee whiz Rich, you almost wrote a novel there.
Thank you so much for your modest and thoughtful comments. I checked out Moviz some time ago and pop in from time to time to have a listen. I really like his stuff as I do yours. Cheers bro.

DON"T MIND.
Hi Rich
When will you be satisfied with the mix. LOL
I wil download and listen I must have dozens of this one now. Its a fabulous track no kidding about that. I can hear changes Oh Yes. I am amazed how you can improve it all the time. Maybe what Paddler wrote a big finish with a choir but I think its also just as good as it stands myself. Cheers

Peace Dee xx

Answer to first question-NEVER. However I'm just hard to please on my own stuff, anyway. I keep thinking of what I didn't do instead of what I did.

I loved the previous post of this - I love this version too. A collab with a flute/whistle player would bring it to perfection (I'm assuming the pipe on this is synthed).
Cheers

You're absolutely right, know any good tin whistle players?
I'd love to get Finbar Furey on the Uilleann pipes on this.
