Description:
I got kind of "taken" by the first 4 notes ... and the rest just fell into place. The song "means" absolutely nothing, but I imagined a conversation that just went sort of on and on with no real purpose or particular goal. The geese seemed appropriate.

And I also love the geese...

Beautiful piece, Mr. Page.

reflective Paul, sometimes pensive with that lovely little theme that carries it through different moods. As always it's a lovely listen, regards M

Let this be a lesson... &mdash 06/06/08 - 10:33:43 PM
to us all ... on how to take a simple motif and develop it thoroughly. The legato repetitions with skillful dampening really make this peace flow. Your myriad use of this device without allowing it to become too capricious or clever is very telling of your musicianship. As always, I really enjoyed hearing another of your new works.

Hi Paul.... &mdash 06/07/08 - 06:56:35 AM
I think I can agree with you about the geese motive. The music somehow does remind me of the way some geese behave around humans.

The piece however also invokes in me that nostalgic emotion again. Not a bad thing from time to time and again, taken in context.

I very much enjoyed the playing, the ideas and the music produced.

Take care.

Paul

Carefree... &mdash 06/08/08 - 06:38:07 AM
like a summer day at the fishin hole. Yeah, the geese are checking out the food supply and I throw them bits of bread. Oh, and it's rewound to the early 1900s. :-) Delightful, Paul. :-)

Very nice &mdash 06/08/08 - 07:55:27 AM
As with all of your music, this is beautiful. Romantic and just lovely. I finally gave in and completely gave up waiting for the "ugly" one. I realize that is was an obvious and wise decision, as you just cannot produce one!! :) Thanks Paul for giving us so many wonderful songs to share. You really need to insure those hands of yours.

I like how stiff... &mdash 06/14/08 - 10:04:47 AM
...this isn't.

There's a very human rhythm to it.

Recording-wise, I want that very last note to sustain just a little longer...
