Description
Another little 'ditty' which has been sitting in the back of the cupboard for some time....

We thought it was time to give it some air!

Featuring myself of the harmonica, Caroline's lovely vocals along with Alfalpha's superb arrangement under the joint name BareKoala!

Lyrics
Blue skies, smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies, do I see

Blue birds singing a song
Nothing but blue birds, all day long

Never saw the sun, shining so bright
Never saw things,
Going so right

Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love
My how they fly...those

Blue days, all of them gone,
Nothing but blue skies
From now on...

can't help but smile
The funky plunky background and organ was very upbeat (even on the downbeats), and was a perfect bed to have Caroline's earthy singing on... but the harmonica stole the show, really sweet playing, Carol... and a little too little, I definitely wanted to hear a little more... as it faded out, I caught myself saying "nooo, not yet!" Very nicely recorded too, crystal clear... Alf, is that you behind the curtain of the mixing board too? Nice work! I look forward to some new material soon! Welcome to Macjams, Carol!

Sweet Chromatic
As a harmonica player I know the Chromatic harps are more challenging to play & you nailed this tune. The vocals fit this song just right. Nice arrangement,,well done all around folks.

keep on keepen on,,,,,, T-BirD

Hi Easybird
Thanks for your great comments, I have only ever played the chromatic harmonica, it's such a personal instrument and if you think, it's nearest to the voice. You can put so much expression into it when you play.

We loved doing this one with Caroline, she is such an inspiration to us all and we had fun getting it right!!

Cheers, Carol
