Description
This is a collab with Ibstrat (Mark), who posted this in the Coffee shop and PM me to see if I'd like to add vocal and some lyrics. While Marks original is a blues (Joplin Style), I think my adding vocal and words makes it sort of Folky, so Folky Blues? LOL. Hope you like the results as the lyrics describe a meeting of two guys who join forces and go on the road as a duo ( something I did many years ago).

Lyrics
Rollin’ 2
1
I met this guy who plays a mean guitar,
’said if I sang along, we might go far,
He would play the tune and all that I’d do was croon.
Hope the money comes in real soon.
2
He makes good music in an older style,
His nimble fingers make the people smile,
When I start the singing some will run a mile,
Others are more polite, just leave the room for a while.
Bridge
Syncopated music fills the air
And everyone agrees he’s got a certain flare,
Pluckin’ an’ a strummin’ with no time to spare
Leaves me kinda breathless; Someone bring a chair?
3
Regardin singin’ , seems I lost the vote,
People always said I couldn’t hold a note.
I think this guy thinks that I make him sound good,
He’s a nice guy so I help him like a good friend should.
Instrument
Middle eight
We were rollin’, drivin’ round an’ strollin’,
Playin all the venues we could find,
From New York to Nebraska,
Even gigged in old Alaska
We were Stars, but only in our mind.
Instrument
4
We played a place they called it Roanoke,
The people there were kinda nice and jokey,
We thought that we were famous
When the Sheriff went and named us…
Just before he ran us out of town.
5
We took the backroads with guitar in hand,
And everything from then on went to plan,
‘Till the night when I felt foolish
‘Cause some guy said I sound Ghoulish,
But I paid him back and sang another line.
6
So we kept on rollin’, playin’ songs and strollin’,
Playin’ all the venues we could find,
We walked the walk and talked the talkie
From New Jersey to Milwaukie,
Yes we were Stars; we were Stars? Yes, We were stars….
But only in our own minds…. Aaahhhh!
