By the way, I know the grammar in the title is wrong. Poetic license.

the fast singing versus the mellow piano has a unique sound. they are sort of opposite soft music with gritty singing. at parts reminds me of the clash for some reason. i like how you sing "everybody's got there eyes closed" some nice thought provoking lyrics. like the instrumental at the end.

Great sounding mix. Those guitars sound good and full and never get in each other's way. The background vox are a tad hard to find though.

Glad you liked it. Did you listen with headphones? Because when I listen with phones the back up vox is too loud and on speakers too soft.

There's a lot of cool guitar work going on. I was listening on my headphones and the background vox came out perfect, so I don't know about how they sound on speakers. Mixing is a dreadful beast, isn't it? :).

Sorry I'm late! This has a familiar ring to it, and I like it. I particularly like the simple guitar lines - you don't need to be a Clapton to play nice leads - OK ..... it probably would help :)

I know I should spend more time on the solos. I could do it if I had a little more patience. I look at my self as a songwriter rather than a lead guitarist. (But, I used to do that and maybe I'll have to shred on a song to earn my wings).

I just came across this on iTunes where its been living in relative obscurity for a little while. It came straight after The Commitments "Mustang Sally" which I've been asked to sing ....... don't ask!

When it started, it sounded so warm and familiar, and I suspected Oasis or some other well-known band to be listed under "artist". I was pleasantly surprised to see "Dave", and then realised it was a MJ track. This is seriously good - great song, beautifully done. Holds it's own with the big chaps! Production is exceptional.

Congratulations.

btw, sorry if I've missed anything of yours recently - I'm having some time away from MJ - it was beginning to get me down. I'm working on new tracks and hope to come back when something's ready for posting.
