Keywords:
mind monster (2)beauty (35)interference (2)generative (9)ic42 (12)
Description:
beauty appears. it begins to blossom. however, the mindster always interferes. it distracts from the enjoyment of beauty. it cannot be removed. beauty and the monster exist together. they are in the mind.

it is computer-generated music. it is an attempt to record the sound of the mind.

version 0x01 was unpolished. this is version 0x02. it is manually refined. it is extended with repeats. it is more dynamic. synthesizer voices are tuned. the mindster is reduced, beauty prevails. there is a more satisfactory consonantal ending.

Hardware:
quicksilver

Software:
innumerable subroutines

Ahh....yes... &mdash 06/23/08 - 07:05:50 AM
More beauty, more reflection, more music. :-) Now I feel like I'm strolling through a Japanese garden, admiring the floating water flowers. Ethereal, but more earthly. Very peaceful and pretty. :-)

it is always a joy to hear from roxylee. a synthesizer voice was re-oriented. it now sounds like a japanese shamisen. it is perhaps similar to a banjo. thank you for another listen and comment. 0x0

There is a reverence here &mdash 06/23/08 - 09:46:09 AM
for unexpected beauty or, if you will, happy accidents.
It is fluid and more like a dance, now, than a stroll. Thank you.

beautiful...I agree w/ Roxylee and Char...very fluid, like an oriental garden...and some of the tones resemble water trickling from a fountain

it is difficult to remove a japanese influence in my music. so i allow it to reside there. there is much anxiety in life. music is a place to escape. to find serenity. it is good for your health to relax in the garden. thank you for listening. 0x0

Sounds like a Japanese soundscape, and the chord progression is beautiful.

Great job!

it is an escape into sound &mdash 08/28/08 - 10:07:13 AM
the computer software created the notes. it was modified to create a smoother progression. it is my nature to add a japanese fragrance to the garden. thank you for breathing the feeling. 0x0

I like this a lot... &mdash 08/30/08 - 10:52:20 PM
It utilizes space and restraint... something harder to do. It's also a very visual piece - look forward to hearing more!

sparse and visual &mdash 08/30/08 - 11:19:07 PM
it is a great compliment! it is important to leave space in music. sometimes i forget, and it becomes noise... it is the mindster that destroys the music. if the music creates images, then it is accomplished. thank you for such listening and comments. 0x0
