This was an old groove I had hiding on my hard drive... My ears are shot so feel free to tell me what to fix in the mix. I want to add some killer lead guitar I think it could use it any volunteers

Great tune, an instant funk "classic" to my ears.
A lead guitar might be nice, but it doesn't really need it.
The bass sounds distorted to me at times--I'm not sure if that's intentional. There are also a few passages where I wish the vocals were easier to hear.
Hip Hop this is brilliant love it. Great voice you have . love the music soo funky cool Moses -real cool- Love it.
Peace Dee.

Stay on the scene - like a "you know what" machine!
Ultracool hip funk.
If you need lead geetar... nah, maybe something like the sounds Prince does with his sexy guitar sounds...
Would be cool to hear what that would be like in here... But it sure can live good without also. Complete tune, and super good funk!
Cool!

Awesome vocals on this. Great beat. I love what you got here - don't think you need to fix or add anything. Very cool Moses.

Moses...You are Da Man. You definitely let the funk loose on this one. A guitar lead? In my imagination, I can hear some complimentary tones, sustains, squelches, screams and some dive bombs here and there in the flavor of Eddie Hazel. I think it's possible. But, even still....This track is Funkalicious!!!

this track is tight. great bass line, great groove. you singing is excellent, but for me the clincher is the bg vocals! super tight! nice work.
as far as the mix, maybe the bass is a half or full db loud? lead vocal up a db? and the mastering limiter you are using on the whole track is getting a little crunchy when the bgs are coming in. minor stuff. the groove is carrying this track.
the singing is outstanding also the backing vocals.
very fine tune!
lengold
just superb - fantastic groove, lyrics, melodies and spectacular vocals. Massive Prince feel to it. Absolutely love this.
Cheers

wanna marry it. Moses, really groovy funk here. Super vocals dude. The harmony parts especially make it rock. I agree, that maybe a wild ass lenny kravitz style solo would work great. Stands proud on its own
Makes me think of Chocolate City or Maggot Brain...
We had the world rocken back then......
This is yesterdays hard core grove with todays info,
and tomorrows feel you can't go wrong here My Man....
I could hear some nasty Guitar licks, in the back drop...
Playing the same line your singing, one or two note thingies
get my drift....
Anything more will take away from the lyrics, you want to enhance
them not take away...
The Grove already got them salivating, the Guitar will lock them in
on the word...... That's the key.....
Man I'm with Soundhound this is like listening to the old funk but with a new twist I think the old funkateers would be proud of you. Keep the funk alive my brother.

Hmm...guitar maybe and some horns. Nice groove. You are very blessed.

I've always been a huge fan of funk and this piece did not disappoint me. The base line is really cool and the drum beat is very solid! Not to mention the very soulful vocals - right on the money!
I greatly encourage you do get someone to add some guitar to this to give this a little bit more edge and it could also give the song a bit more variation since I thought it could use a little from time to time.
Don't get me wrong - it sounded great, but I was always waiting for something else to happen, just to make it even better.
I also heard some distortion here and there - mostly in the latter half.
Anyway - this sounded really cool, nonetheless!

..awesome mix and great playing/vocals. Something in the vocal melodies reminded me of the verse melodies of "Come together" by The Beatles... with a rich, funkalicious backdrop. Highly enjoyeable.

This has everything it needs as is, what's to fix? Love the old timeMotown/Gospel call/response in this. It's the genuine article.
Great funk man makes me think of George Clinton, way cool man

SmokeyVW
cool funk indeed
inspiring...
(maybe it's just me, but i wonder if the backup vocals are coming in a tad too late - what if they pushed on the beat a little?)
thanks
