Description:
This work is from the Opera Cavalleria Rusticana. I feel it works well on the harmonica. Lee is playing the piano as usual and the wonderful Caroline recorded it for us. Thanks Caroline xx

just saw it... &mdash 06/25/08 - 03:02:02 PM
My wife and I just recently enjoyed 'The Cav and the Pag' at the San Diego Opera... Mascagni wrote some great lyric tunes, and your dulcet harmonica playing really fits this well... love that high note, very sweet! Wonderful piano work too, Lee... as always! Thank you Caroline for recording this!

Hi Eduard &mdash 06/26/08 - 05:04:00 PM
Thanks again for your interesting words and encouragement. The recording made by Caroline is excellent with her first class mike. I think the Intermezzo is possibly one the most popular pieces of the opera.

wishes, Carol

it really amazes me, how you guys do this! One doesn't think of the harmonica used in this way, which only shows how unimaginative "one" is! This is great - congrats to all three of you, and thanks for the terrific listen!

Your remarks are always interesting and many people don't know the full potential of what the harmonica is capable of. But one often hears it on films in background music, the film "Midnight Cowboy" for example was played by my teacher Tommy Reilly.

Classical Harmonica &mdash 06/27/08 - 01:41:33 PM
Hi! 12parsecs,

Thanks for your nice comments. I have been playing in this style for quite a long time butI did have a really good teacher in Tommy Reilly who was Canadian born, he became a world top harmonica exponent but unfortunately died a few years ago.

Best regards Carol
