Lyrics
Sara says the World is Round
Teutonical Philosophy is so profound
The lawn could do with a better mow
The London Footsie's at an all-time low

Our Jonny says the World is flat
Confucianism is where it's at
The Garden's looking fine by me
I'll go and make myself a nice cup of tea

But what are you gonna do
When the Oracle of Delphi's got a downer on you?

Sara says with such a frown
Inflation's up and the Economy's down
Destitution and Destruction looms
We really need a set of serving spoons

But Jonny says with an absent air
I'll go and fetch myself another chair
Hold that thought, I won't be long
Just going to finish off this song

But What are you gonna do
When the Oracle of Delphi's got a downer on you?

So we'll have to make a sacrifice
Appease the Muses with a strange device
We'll conjure rhythms and some melodies
A combination which should Gods appease

The Universe in which we all do sit
Can often be a quite uneasy fit
So in a spirit most contrite
We must admit that Sara's mostly right

But What are you gonna do
When the Oracle of Delphi's got a downer on you?

Too kind........
But thanks anyway :-)

Any Rocking must be down to Jonny's 10yr old Chris, who did sterling work on the drums on this one. Top lad......he'll go far.

Thanks much!

However, I'm definitely not cool.

As my wife says that my current (lack of) haircut makes me look like an Antique Dealer. 'of a certain age'.

Sadly, I can't disagree.......

On the Fiddle.......
Thanks - on the fiddle is the other half of Cadman, Johnny (or Chaz as I confusingly call him).

We like his playing so much that we have a collection of songs called - On The Fiddle - which when and if we get our act together will be our first new album for 20 years.

Oh 'eyup
another loony to add to the fold...your voice has also got a touch of Rolf Harris to it in the inflection and occasional pronounciation...sorry that's not an insult,I like his early stuff ......oh sugar, I'll stop now...before I hit bedrock and have to start drilling...............

Ta Bruce!
G'Day!

The Rolf Harris thing must be because I spent a weekend in Melbourne once.

On the other hand, I spent the weekend in York once too (trying to drink our way around the city wall).......Hmmmmmm.

Thanks again.......
Thanks - glad some of the fun we had recording it (in between trying to do 'serious' music) - came across.

I've got some other tracks which should be in 'Comedy' - unfortunately not for the right reasons :-( !
