While remixing this song, I muted the main guitar and drums (and a couple of other things) and came up with this. I know it's too late for the MJ Coffee House, but it's a fun listen nonetheless.

thanks on both counts. the end vocals are 'better' imo, but i still don't like my voice... maybe it will grow on me.

Very NICE Coffee House version man. HOWEVER, I think it could pass much better as the Wet Bar version at last call!

.. wow ... ok at first glance as a huge fan of reverb ... I do LUV the vocal FX .... with their echoey sound .... please OH please teach me your secrets .... I LUV this soft .. yet BOLD version .... now I gotta check out the original .... just noted your Canadian Flag in the online box .. and thought .. hmmm .check them out .... and here I am ! Actually if I was to comment on the mix as a whole ... very well done! p.s. ... if you add some bits in the forums .. or chat and um ... always good to hear from a fellow vancouverite! thanks for the kind words. i'm definitely trying to get myself out there. i don't want to be too invasive, but i do like to get out there and listen to other peoples' stuff.
yeah, i'm a big fan of good reverb and delay. i have a UAD1-e PCI card, which basically has a bunch of really good VST plugin effects and reverbs - that don't eat up CPU cycles. i actually added some distortion to a plate reverb (along with another reverb and delay) and eq'd it a bit. it's just one of those things you gotta get your hands dirty and experiment with. Vocals were good and then fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the final verse. Loved the sparse sound to begin then a great change for the lead out.
