Description:
A song about what really matters. You will hear a bit of "skip" on two parts near each of the chorus parts (I look at it as similar to a scratch in a record...remember records?). I had some hard drive issues but all in all it turned out okay. Thanks
Lyrics:
What’s insideIf I was to be alone, with just the paper and the phone
I’d have the cord around my neck my fingers nimble to the bone
We’ve studied all our lives for the test of life’s fight
For I can be the one who walks us straight into the night
All this conversation
Well, it’s leaving me
In and out the other
But it’s got to be
Chorus
What’s inside, is what matters most to me
What’s inside, you know it’s plain to see
Believe me when I say, you always make the day
A love so strong and so sincere that nothing can erase
The love that has us here, you always seem so near
I can see the love and nothings ever bee so clear
No more conversation, trust is what we need
From one hand to another, I’ll have you close to me
(Chorus)
The love that brought us here was the passing of all the stupid fears
And what’s inside, is what matters, what matters
What’s inside, is what matters what matters.

I love the tempo of this - motors along and changes come at points where I hope they would, making it really easy to dig. Vox and backing are great. You are hitting some high ones there!
I hear the clicks or jumps, you put a vinyl crackle effect quietly in there and pass it off as a rediscovered 45"..!
Guitar is immense as usual. Totally get it. Another one for the album.

sorry man...what is it that I am doing that makes you unable to download
The Infinites
If you click "Edit" it takes you to the song editor where you'll see the choice to enable or disable (just below the terms and conditions).
It needs changed. And then I can have 'What's Inside' in its rightful place....
...on my iPod.
Cheers!

about those little glitches - another great tune. Usual top quality playing and singing.

Great track Sir, always good to hear you lovely work. Fine vocals and great musical soundbed... I like this piece but only if you try to cut those glitches! Fine work.

This is a really well written song. Performance is solid as usual. I remember records lol I wish I had kept mine now. Great job !! Nice job on that high note too lol that sucker was wayyyy up there.
Vic Holman
some nice playing, and great vocals (main & backup)
dang those hiccups, but it happens.
Like I said, solid tune
Cool tune. Nice singing too.

...about those glitches, because the rest of the production is really solid.
The writing is good and the performance is really great - especially the vocals; almost flawless. I could only spot one moment where I didn't like the singing - and that was the little falsetto near the end. But the rest of it was pretty damn good.
I also agree with Feter about bringing the intro a little more center stage - not too much, though. I like the effect when the song kicks off with the full stereo sound.
Nicely done.

That's the DL sorted and now I can get under the skin of the song from playing on the iPod - glitches, yeah, but still able to get what you're doing all the way.
A fine talent you have - glad you're sharing.

Hope you can bounce a new version without the glitches... Still it's a pretty song even with them!

Peter Murphy meets Matthew Sweet. Nice dynamics in the recording. The Gibson acoustic sounds sweet.
Put your boots on, bro.
