Description:
About twelve weeks ago, I suddenly became critically ill. Fighting off hospitalization, I spent six weeks, or so, in bed, taking strange medicines by the plate full.
When I could get up for brief periods, I would pick up a guitar for distraction. Having recently been totally taken by West Coast Jump Blues, so that was the mode. Ironically, while suffering a minor stroke, I, unconsciously, wrote a Lyric that says, "Gonna' Be Alright."
I asked Neil "Drivin' Wheel" Porter if he could get behind it. While totally divergent of his poetic, Coffee House tunes of late, that get more and more intricate while gaining more focus all the time, this is a Three Chord, Twelve Bar.
If you take note, you'll see there is a PERFECT Jump Blues BASS, here.
What a MASTER.
It's Raw for a Jump Blues, but the best I could do at this go.
Best Regards,
Cooper

Working on getting better. It just can't be done quickly.

cooper, sounds good, really like the tone and attitude of the vocals. the placement of the drums sounds very realistic and the guitar parts shred pretty well.
hope everything is ok. 12 weeks is a long time
rtcooper
Twelve weeks and Lucky at that, actually.
But, the little-known Guitar Therapy is used around here.
If it's not going to work, nothing will.
The KIT is tripled at different EQ settings, which adds some depth to a GB loop.
Same for some of the Guitars. A 24-bit technique that's hard to pull off in 16.
Very Best to You,
Coop

The partial comedic sense of this song makes it very entertaining, along with the slidy guitar instrumental alongside. The weary backup vocals are great, sounds like a bunch of hospital patients gloomingly chanting. Only downside is certain guitar parts seem to be overdriving, possibly an error during the recording process or just in the mix, either way it doesn't ruin anything. Nice drum sound also, are they real or is that a loop?
rtcooper
YEAH, the Split Track Guitars (different EQ sets) don't have enough room in the 16-bit envelope to come together - not enough Headroom.
Logic Studio is getting Great Reviews.
I guess that's next.
Thanks for the Spin and the Sense of Humor.
Best to You,
Cooper

.. but nothing seems to slow you down in the raw blues dept. As usual, this was a most pleasant experience - an mp3 lobs in my email and I'm immediately "in".
We work well together Coop, and I'm always up to hanging around with the band ;)
Excellent guitar AND some harmony on the vocals .... must be making some recovery.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil

I can only imagine the Speed of Recovery were I in OZ, overlooking the River and Ocean! No traveling for a while, I'm afraid.
But Your Totally Stunning contribution to this one just Made It Happen.
You're The Best!
As always,
Coop

I was noddin all the way through. The vocals were right in the pocket, and the riffin was way cool.

AN HONOR TO HEAR FROM YOU.
You have many Styles at your call and a pursuing imagination.
Tossing a Three Chord, Twelve Bar out there, again, I feel like a one-trick pony!
But, some Jump Blues inspiration was BIG in the last twelve weeks, over here.
I will say the 24-bit, split track techniques are tough in 16-bit.
I think I'm the last guy left using 16-bit AND wanting a Wall of Sound Stage.
STUDIO 8 becoming mandatory.
Before my required summer hiatus, I'll see what I've missed on your Page (probably take a Week!) but, Cool.
compliments and regards,
Cooper
