Description

The music is a direct attempt at doing a early '70's Glam Rock tune.

I had the music done several weeks ago. But, I was getting way to busy with work projects and things like that. That's how the lyrics came about, always a day behind in getting anything done. I wrote those a week ago and finally was able to put down the vocals last night.

I think...
...this is one of my favorites among your lyrics...

It may, as always, be my headphones more than anything, but if you're aiming for glam (and of course that covers quite a bit of teritory), then I think I could stand to have either another dB of vocal, or maybe a little more space around the vocal, so it's forward... Whether it be 'Moonage Daydream' or 'Bang A Gong', having that vocal, and the personality that goes with it, out front and center, is sort of key to what I always heard in the glam sound...On my listening gear, the vocal could stand to leap out of the massed guitars just a little more...

I'm also thinking that it would be neat to anchor the treble of the guitars with a sort of meatier, grittier, (humbucking?) rhythm guitar in there... in a low midrange register, maybe... I keep thinking I hear one in there, so maybe what I'm asking for is for a little low grit to come forward, maybe spread wide in the stereo field with the higher guitars up the middle...

Nits taken care of, I'll get back to how much I like the song, which is a lot... Good vocal delivery, neat Chuck-Berry-filtered-through-Bolan-and-Big-Star solo(s)... Great drive...

Cool track Vic
Love the solo tone - all round good post (as usual). Could have cranked the Schecter up a bit for my taste, but what would you have expected ;)

Good lyrics, well sung and played - yeah Ed may be right in that the vocals could come up a bit - especially noticeable to me in the final harmonised bit.

Incredible is what I really just heard. AMAZING work here Mr. Vic and really something that left me speechless. Killer guitar work, the vocals at its best and the whole composition is totally grand and pro.

I guess I should agree with Ejh and Jig about the mixing, it's great but just the vocals could come up a bit as the solos in the background taking place louder a little bit and for the bass.... YES as I'm a big fan of your bass tone and playing.

Great stuff
I love the sentiment (sounds all too familiar!) and the delivery is great. I love the guitars on this. as always. I really think the genius of your mixing is your ability to find room for all the instruments to breathe. You have so much going on, but nothing is ever buried or mashed together in a sonic mess (I think 'mashed together' is the technical term, isn't it?). Brilliant stuff. Love the solo (and the solo sound) in particular. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Say, you clearly know your was around guitar production. Why does your bass sound intelligible while playing a stream of identical eighth notes? I hear too many songs on this site where such a bass part just becomes a big drone that only clutters up the mix. Mind divulging your secret?
