Description
Peter Come Down is sort of an allegory of urban sprawl. The idea is that people with money are buying up all of our Neverlands, those places which were once special, isolated, and unique are now strip centers and condos. The real conflict here is that I like all of the stores in those strip centers, so, what am I actually complaining about?

Lyrics
It was late one warm summers afternoon
When you and I went to walk the moon.
But, the people there did not approve.
They said that is something you cannot do.
Chorus:
And the people would cry,
Peter come down from there
When he would go fly across their sky.
But, we did not listen to what they said.
We just kept right on walking straight ahead.
But, the people there, they held the sign
Saying all things must change in good time.
And we said to them
Listen to the feelings in your heart.
There's room enough for all of us
We have not gone too far.
And we said to them
Listen to the meaning in your mind.
Is it right, or is it fair,
Or is it just unkind.
But the people said we could walk no more
Cause the land we were on became a store.
And Neverland now is not our home.
Cause they bought it from us with a loan.

Such a great idea for a song. It has a sound like a British
rock musical, which I like. I wish it don't sound like it was
recorded under a blanket (due to production quality),
almost like you're singing it under the covers, which is
kind of a cool, visual, actually. Have you seen the new
movie, Finding Neverland? Excellent, sweet, charming,
nearly perfect. Your song ends rather abruptly. I'd love to
hear this redone with more immediacy and brightness to
the vocals and more energy put into the sense of flying
that you've just begin to touch on in your accompaniment.
