dreech (1)scottish weather (1)
Description:
For those of you who don't know, "dreech" is a Scots word that describes the typical weather we have in this part of the world (i.e. grey, cold & wet - even in summer). Today is definitely a dreech day, so to mark the event I've posted this song

I actually recorded this some time ago, probably 2 years ago, and it was one of the first things I did in GB. To be honest I can't remember how I did all of this - the bass is a loop as are the drums and percussion. I'm pretty sure the synth was done by typing the notes into GB one at a time (no midi keyboard then) which probably explains why there's not much to it, and the guitar was me. God knows where the sound effect came from

Oh yes! You give a real sense of the environment, here. Nice feeling of space in the recording. Though it might be nice to bring the lead a bit more in the center.

Nicely played!
Doug

I Agree with Doug. You should put the lead more in focus. Excellent play and great soft melody with a good beat.

Take Care, CG

Love the moodiness of this as it slithers along beautifully. So-o-o-o relaxing and seductive I could listen all night. Love the whole sound, but the guitar is sweet (and that's not an expression I usually use). Lovely mix and for me you've got it right on, but as Doug says could be better still centered, regards M

As I remember I was still getting to grips with both the new audio interface and Garage Band when I recorded this and never really figured out the mono / stereo thing at first

Glad you enyoyed it
