Description:
I wanted a little stagger I fell over
Lyrics:
yes I was stopped
missed directed eyes
plain and obvious
the small thing
the grasp
tamed and spoiled
no longer perceived
the big picture is on
there is always
stairways and shafts
an elevator stuck on level 13
instantly bored
packaged played
soiled and wet
every day is
every day is gone
you feel
patterened and nailed
in between
cheap shoes
spoiled views
the big picture is on again
on
the broken hearted weep
the baby plays
the beauty sleep
no stairway to steep
the big picture is on
if drifting to far
is what it becomes
then let me be a leaf
if feelings and reality
divide
let me drain my soul
let me fill my head
let the game become
glassware

dont get out to your site very much, and i am ashamed of myself. this song has such a fat, warm guitar tone. it makes me think of the bands in the early 70's, who would do everything they could to get that warm, rich tone out of thier tubes, all the way down to using different transformers to see how long it would take to melt them.... great vocal effects. i liked the subtle, simple drums. carried the beat, but did not make a big show, and take away from the song. i am really bad at that. i want to be like Neal Peart half the time, and i end up tearing up my drums a dozen times before i record anything else...heh... perfuntionest... love the tune, and i shall make an effort to be here more often. loved this one.

great tune. the floyd comparison is inevitable, but that's not a bad thing. love the vocal style and that constant nagging guitar [ Reply to This ]

This is great. The lyrics are excellent, filled with brilliant images and perfectly delivered. The two vocals work really well, and the guitar sounds great. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace. [ Reply to This ]
