Lovely (Full Band)

Description
This is the original full band version of my last CoffeeHouse submission "Lovely". I recorded this a few years back and it could probably use a remix but I'm feeling lazy.
This was one if the first times I used an eBow in a song and I've been using it ever since. Anyway its cool to hear both versions of this one.

Lyrics
Lovely

Well I think about her and I’d have to say
That she’s so great she’s so lovely
Makes everyone smile wherever she goes
But where her mind is no one really knows

Oh yeah she’s all right
Shines bright in the night
And now I see
Just how lucky one man can be
She’s so lovely

Well I’d go anywhere I’d do anything
To make this girl mine, if love it could bring
And if act real tough maybe she’ll see
Maybe she’ll be impressed and only want me

Oh yeah now I know
Just how far she’ll go
And I wish that I could see
Just what she was thinking about me
She’s so lovely

Well I think about her and I’d have to say
That she’s so great she’s so lovely
She’s always in my head wherever I go
I’m in love with this girl yet she doesn’t know

Oh yeah she’s all right
Shines bright in the night
And now I see
Just how lucky one man can be
She’s so lovely

first?
ha, i beat feter! how often does that happen? =P

great tune. i liked the acoustic song too, but this is really well done. great, full sounding guitars, cool synth solo! remix? well, maybe just compress the the overheads (cymbals) on the drums, or the hole kit - if you don't have separate a separate overheads track. and add a nice drum room reverb to the drums.

cool tune. thanks for sharing!

remix
Yeah, it is a tough thing to beat Feter to the punch!

Thanks for checking this out. Actually this song was recorded on a Tascam Portastuio 488 which is just what I had sitting around before I started working more on the computer. The drums are from a Boss DR-550 MKII so you can imagine the limitations. I might actually rerecord the whole thing but it will be a while.

I don't know what you mean, I dnid't see any tpyo's in yuor cmomnets.

Peace, nick

cool
This is an old one too. That sliding synth is the ebow. I still need to figure out better ways to use that thing. Thanks for the positive comments man. I may try to write a few more in this style.

I can put down my pen today - my vocals have been called brilliant:) Actually these are one of the few songs that have any meaning in the lyrics. I wish I could write better these days. I always appreciate your great comments Maurice.

Thanks

very cool
man, I really like the drive on this. a real direct rocker.

I always like e-bows. Nobody seems to have them on the shelf in my town. Oh well, I guess it's time to pull out the credit card

My ebow was given to me by a friend - actually left at at my house, he probably wants it back now. Yeah I like the direct rock feel too. I've been wanting to do more of this.
Thanks Vic.

guitar
I can't even remember how I recorded the guitars - I did mic my Peavey half stack though. I wish I still had all of my old equipment.
Thanks LL.

yeah!
Wow. Really great mix, and your vocals really shine on this one. I think they need to be brought up in volume a bit, but I am sure that is water way under the bridge. Loved hearing another version of this one.

I've been moving way too much in the last few years and somehow eventually ended up in Texas. Funny how things work as I never saw myself here. I've been playing music in some fashion or another since I was 16 and love it. Its been great listening... [see more]
